Hi there,
I’m Caitlyn

I became a private midwife because I believe women are best served when care is consistent, personal, and unhurried.

My work is grounded in continuity of care, informed decision-making, and respectful collaboration with the wider maternity system.

Alongside clinical practice, I am undertaking postgraduate midwifery research, which continues to shape and deepen my work.

background

We’re based on our family farm in Yallingup, where I live with my husband Dan — who runs an organic market garden — and our two daughters. Life here is fairly practical: a mix of clinical work, study, and time spent outside together on the farm. Alongside my clinical work, I am undertaking postgraduate midwifery research, which continues to shape and deepen my practice.

principles of care

respect

Women bring their own values, priorities, experiences, and instincts to pregnancy and birth. Care should allow space for these to be recognised and taken seriously.

integrity

Private midwifery care should remain grounded in current evidence, clear communication, and honest discussion throughout pregnancy and birth.

professionalism

Professionalism in maternity care includes clinical skill, respectful collaboration, reliability, and the ability to provide calm, consistent support across changing circumstances.
